After decades of bulky style machines with little variation in head or body technology other than from time to time a few upgrades - suddenly a new and impressive “4000” series is launched including two horse clippers with head designs that allow the fitting of various Liscop blades. Whilst each of the horse machines has similarities, two main differences emerge. The Liscop 4000 A2 has a sleeker head, takes Liscop A2 blades (You can also use Wolseley blades.) and is the marginally noisier of the two clippers. The Liscop 4000 “102” has a very slightly enlarged head to accommodate the mechanism and takes Liscop 102 blades (You can also use Aesculap, Heiniger and Stewart Oster blades plus Wolseley A102, A106 and A107.) This model is the marginally quieter of the two machines Again from the equine user’s perspective this model too will be a vastly more comfortable machine to clip with as the ergonomically shaped body design offers a really comfortable grip. Running sound and blade vibration levels are acceptable for most horses with the exception of the certain nervous animals, when perhaps a different type of machine should be considered.
